why a self portrait ?
I have used my Self in these images as it is always challenge finding a model when I need them, I was inspired by photographer Miss Aniela for her self-portrait work as she also struggled to find models to photograph. I fell in love with her work and the way she has photographed her self in different locations and how she multiplies her self

I have posted a lot of my climbing photographs. I want to show more of an artistic side to my work.
This is my Dreaming series, where I have created Self portraits. I have used my Self in these images as I am often full of Photo ideas, but it always seems to be a challenge finding a model when I need them, and I did not want my inspiration to run low. I was feeling very artistic and grabbed my Camera and tripod and started shooting these images.
In these images I have used a nude like body suit to give my self nude look. I have found it a lot better using this outfit as it gives the image a basic look as using another outfit such as a dress or more colourful clothing would be more distracting. I feel like the body suite am wearing gives more shape to my self as a subject
DEAD INSIDE was a project I worked on last year for my A-level Art coursework.
The idea behind the project was to hide my subjects face as it creates a creepy atmosphere with a lot of mystery to my images.
I worked with many objects to cover my subjects face. I initially used a gas mask from WWII and I am very fond of the images that I produced. However I then went on to use a ram skull and I imediatley fell in love with the images that I had produced. I loved the gloomy look of these images and this is how I came up with the project DEAD INSIDE. I then created the ‘Box Heads‘ which I used with the ram skull by merging them together to create my final piece, a short film. (box head film)
This is me, Jodie. However I like to spell my name with a double ‘e’ (Jodiee) as I like to hear people say my name with more enthusiasm and excitement and so that my name is more eccentric and makes me more unique.
I am now 20 years old and from the age of 16 I have ran my own business capturing images; selling greeting cards of landscapes of my local area, North Wales. I also have my own little studio where I do family portraits. As I live in a small village, business is very quiet however when Christmas comes around my Christmas themed portraits are very popular.
I am currently in college styding A-level in Art & Design and would love to go on to study a honners in degree in photography and futher my career in the art industry.
